This post concerns the Estabilishment and Activation of an electronic mailbox according to the Act no. 305/2013 Coll. On e-Government. Every legal entity with the registered office in Slovak republic is under duty to activate and use electronic mailbox up
Electronic mailbox serves as a secure repository of all official communications with the public authorities intending to store e-messages and notifications.
COMMUNICATION SHALL EMBODY
1. Public authorities
2. Legal entities and registered branches of legal entities
3. Natural persons (citizens of Slovak republic)
4. Natural persons undertaking business activity (enterpreneurs)
Mailboxes of legal entities and enterpreneurs registered in Slovakia are estabilished immediately and automatically after their formation.
After estabilishment it is necessary for an e-mailbox to be activated in order to its use. Once the e-mailbox is activated the electronic delivery is to be enabled.
Enterpreneurs, i.e. individuals who undertake business activity may activate their mailboxes on voluntary basis. On the other hand, legal entities with registered office in Slovak republic are obliged to activate e-mailboxes until the 1st of january 2017.
The process of electronic mailbox is completed when person authorized to access the e-mailbox logs in to his/her mailbox for the first time however NOT LATER than on 1st january 2017.
REQIREMENTS on owners of e-mailboxes in order to obtain access into mailboxes.
1. Identification card with an electronic chip (eID card) and personal sacurity code (BOK)
2. In case of FOREIGNERS – Residence card with an electronic chip
In case od FOREIGN STATUTORY REPRESENTATIVE to have a full access to its electronic mailbox he shall authorize a natural person – citizen of the Slovak republic with an eID card.
An application for authorization to access the electronic mailbox of a legal entity shall be sent in writting to the following adress: Úrad vlády SR, P.O. BOX 11, Námestie slobody 1, 810 05 Bratislava 1, Slovensko.
ESTABILISHMENT OF THE ELECTRONIC MAILBOX FOR FOREIGNERS
Legal entity without registered office in SR or natural person that is not citizen of SR and has not place of business in SR may request for estabilishment upon prescribed form published at web pages of Central Government Portal.
